3 Tried and True Ways To Get Out of The Mom Funk

As I stood in the shower, basking in the scarce moments of silence, I washed down with my husbands irish spring. And wondered to myself, Why don’t I feel as feminine as I once did? and when did I let go of myself? Surly it happens to us all. several years of marriage and several kids later, But I contemplated was there an exact moment in time or over several years? Its not that we want to let go of ourselves. between our husbands, children, and homes needing constant and consistent attention when could we possibly take care of ourselves? Over the next few days I contemplated and chatted with my dear girlfriends on what some easy ways, to get out of that funk and feel like a W.O.M.A.N
so here it is
3 tried and true ways to get out of that Mom Funk
stop using your husbands body wash….haha but seriously. Go pick up some new shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and perfume to your liking
spend one evening a week pampering yourself. Out of convenience I choose to do it at home. a facial (micro needling for myself) hair mask, bubble bath with your favorite candles and music, paint your toes, and self tanner (optional)
Going out with the girls, I love when the girls come over we have a few glasses of wine while we get ready (who am I kidding more like bottles) then we go out to have dinner, drink, and dance
These things seem so obvious and minuet, but as mothers and wives we needed to be reminded and sometimes forced by our loved ones. The first few times I did this, I felt almost guilty. Thoughts like “I should be doing laundry, or cleaning” ran thru my head. But, thats what we do all day every day. Doing those things put us in the position to need to do these simple steps. So don’t worry about chores, or feel guilty that you are doing these things for your self. Because when
